Bournemouth broke their record Premier League points tally and moved into the top half with a 3-0 win over Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
Goals from Marcos Senesi, Enes Unal and Justin Kluivert was enough to seal victory for the Cherries, with Roberto De Zerbi's side not posing much of a threat and continuing their poor form with the Seagulls now six without a win.
For the Cherries it contines their great run of form, moving back above Wolves and level on points with Chelsea in 10th.
Andoni Iraola changed the shape of the Bournemouth team from the 1-0 win over Wolves. With Kerkez suspended after his red card appeal was rejected, Dango Ouattara came in at left-back. Christie was on the bench and Zabarnyi missed out due to illness. In their place came Lloyd Kelly and Enes Unal.
The visitors made six changes. Van Hecke, Moder, Lallana, Welbeck, Veltman and Baleba all made way for Julio, ilmour, O’Mahoney, Adingra, Offiah and Buonanotte.
Senesi started the game with an early yellow card in the 8th minute after a late challenge on Joao Pedro.
In the 11th minute Bournemouth had a strong penalty appeal, Semenyo showed a lovely bit of skill down the right-hand side before playing it to Unal, the Turkish striker tried to square the ball to Solanke and it seemed to hit the hand of Lewis Dunk, but Paul Tierney waved away the Bournemouth appeals.
Two minutes later and the Cherries took the lead. Lewis Cook swung in the corner, the ball came off a Brighton player and into the path of Marcos Senesi, who headed it home from inside te six-yard box.
After a well-executed slide tackle, LewisCook immediately went down holding his shoulder. Brighton refused to put the ball out of play much to the frustration of Andoni Iraola and the Bournemouth fans. Eventually the referee stopped the game, and Cook was okay following treatment.
Brighton had a chance to level in the 27th minute. Buonanottebeat his fellow Argentinian Senesi with ease and burst into the box and tried to beat Travers, but the goalkeeper saved well.
Unal had a great chance to make it two nil in the 32nd minute. Alex Scott stole the ball from Julio and sprinted down the wing, he cut it back to Unal who was completely free near the penalty spot, but his finish was very poor.
Bournemouth really hit their stride at the end of the first half. Shots fro Scott and Solanke troubled the Brighton goal, but one was blocked by Dunk and the other saved easily by Verbruggen. Overall Bournemouth deserved the lead at half-time, although neither team had been particularly dominant. Iraola would've been the happier manager at the break however, with Marcos Senesi's side giving Bournemouth the lead at half-time.
Roberto De Zerbi made a change at half-time, Danny Welbeck came on for O'Mahoney.
Bournemouth started the second half brightly, with a good chance immediately. They won the ball back in the Brighton half and some nice passing between Solanke, Unal and Kluivert led to the Dutchman bursting through on goal. He got his shot off from inside the box, but it was into te sidenetting.
Unal then made up for his poor performance with a great header. Kluivert had the ball down the left hand side, he played it to Ouattara on the byline and he put in a lovely crossto an unmarked Unal at the back post, he headered it over Verbruggen and into the net.
Kluivert was booked in the 56th minute for a poor challenge. Billy Gilmour got one a minute later for a late challenge on Solanke.
Travers pulled out a fantasic shot to keep the score at 2-0. Adingra had the ball in the penalty area, he took a step inside from the left and curled the ball towards the top corner. Travers met it with an acrobatic save, but afterwards it was given as offside.
With 25 minutes to play Barco picked up a yellow card for a clip on Alex Scott. Adingra then made way for Enciso. Straight after Enes Unal went off to the applause of the Vitality Stadium, as he ade ay for Ryan Christie.
In the 70th minute Bournemouth had a strong penalty shout as Barco wiped out Semenyo inside the box with both feet off the ground, depite the appeals of Vitality Stadium and every single Bourneouth coach Paul Tierney waved away the penalty and VAR confirmed.
In the 75th minute Veltman and Webster came on for Igor and Offiah.
Bournemouth had yet anoter penalty shout as Solanke shot and Dunk blocked, but the ball seemed to deflect onto the Englishman's hand. Correctly, it wasn't given.
Bournemouth then made another change as Scott came off for Aarons.
In the 86th minute Bournemouth had another penalty appeal and Solanke looked to be dragged down by Dunk, with Paul Tierney once again waving away the appeals.
Kluivert put the cherry on top of the cake in the 87th minute. Christie played a lovely pass to the Dutchman down the right, he made it to the box and cut inside with ease, and fired it past Verbruggen.
Immediately after Joao Pedro came off for Baleba.
In injury time Senesi and Kluivert came on for Hill and Dominic Sadi.
The worst news for the Cherries came at the end of the game. Semenyo went down injured and had to be stretchered off the pitch in what looks like a serious injury for the winger.
Overall the game was a cruise for Bournemouth, with Brighton not being able to get anywhere near them. The result means that they move up to 10th, level on points with Chelsea. The Seagulls are now without a win in six, and sit in 12th. Next up for the CHerries is a tough challenge as they travel to the Emirates to face Arsenal.
